Norges Multikulturelle Senter (Nomkus), or Norway’s Multicultural Centre, uses cookies and a statistics tool on our websites in order to improve the website's quality and your user experience.

Our website is built in Drupal, and Drupal uses the cookie has_js to gather temporary data. Nomkus uses the statistics tool Google Analytics to gather information on how is being used. We do this in order to learn how we can best improve our website. The information gathered through Google Analytics lets us know how visitors use our website, and gathers information such as:

  • Number of website visits
  • Number of page views
  • How visitors accessed the website
  • Information of the visitor's web browser


All data and information we gather is used solely for monitoring, improvement and maintenance purposes, as well as for the running of  We do not share your information with third parties, collaborators or partners, other than those who are involved in the building and running of our website.


We have activated the following functions in Google Analytics:

"Anonymize visitors IP address": this function prevents that your IP-address gets stored by Google.

"Universal web tracking opt-out": If our server detects that your browser has DNT activated, then Google Analytics will not add tracking-code to the site. DNT, or Do Not Track, is a tool to prevent that your user statistics are tracked by social media sites and some online analytics and statistics tools. You can learn more about DNT here.
